This recipe is from the 1997 Milk Almanac. Easy, easy, easy.All ingredients are ready in your pantry & even if you think you don't know how to cook, this recipe will prove you wrong.
*Ingredients :
°450gm boneless, skinless chicken breast
°1 c. butter
°1 c. (15 ml) oil
1 L onion chop
1 cup (250 ml) chopped mushrooms
°1 clove minced garlic
°1/2 tsp. (2 ml) dried basil
1/2 tsp. (2 ml) salt
°1/2 tsp. (2 ml) pepper
°3 tbsp. (45 ml) flour
°3 C (750 ml) milk
°1 c (15 ml) Dijon-mustard
°3 C (750 ml) un-cooked egg noodle
°1 10 oz (300 g) package frozen mixed vegetables
°1 kg (10 oz / 300 g) frozen mixed vegetables
* Preparation :
Cut the chicken into 2.5 cm cubes.In a large saucepan on medium heat, dissolving butter with oil and skip chicken cubes for 5 minutes.Adding onions, mushrooms, garlic, herbs, salt &; pepper &; saute to onions soften.
Stir with flour and cook for 1 minute.Gradually add milk, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens. Add mustard and noodles, then bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. add frozen vegetables after 11 min
Blend before serve .
